During a sweltering summer vacation on the Aegean coast, the relationship between a middle-aged professor, Isa (superbly played by the film’s director) and his younger, TV-producer girlfriend Bahar (Ebru Ceylan) brutally implodes. She leaves him, returning to Istanbul, where she rekindles a torrid affair with a previous lover. Before long, however, Isa embarks upon an arduous journey—both physically and emotionally daunting—in a desperate attempt to win her back. Amazingly nuanced performances combine with breathtaking cinematography to create one of the year’s most powerful and memorable portraits of the fragility and complexity of human relationships. A Little something New From It Came From Culture City

well If it have been for the gig guide that one week, i would never thought of it

And it now it a good time to do it because MTV and MTV2 have reach a point of irrelevant

I have started a sister site to this blog sight, it is called "The Sound Crash" and i decide to do the sight one week after tring to find the spelling of the MTV2 Show Subterranean [which i am sad to say have been reduce to just a simply one hour video block at 1AM]

And I found a sight called "Alt music TV" at altmusictv.blogspot.com and they have a pretty good archive of played list from a the old Alternative music show on regular MTV called 120 minutes which i watch during the latter year from 1996 to 2000 until they move it to MTV2 which remain on the aired until 2003 until they rebrand it as "Subterranean"

and i was looking at the played list and i thought i would be cool to do a speart weekly blog post [away from the main blog sight, this one] to post some of the best video i seen this week from some body who is coming to town or some thing happened this week i all going down on "The Sound Crash"

The first post when up last night and since i was five days late will be up untill next Wednesday

The First post have bands from the Just past "Metrotimes Hamtramck Blowout" like Troy and the Stepsisters", "Thunderbirds are Now!",and "The Hard Lessons".

Buzz bands from SXSW from the likes of "The Pipettes","Matt & Kim", and "Margot & The Nuclear So and So's".

Video From bands that was inducted to the rock and roll hall of fame from Patti Smith, R.E.M., and Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five.

and Videos from "Lilly Allen"[two version of "Smile"],"Of Montreal","Arctic Monkeys","Amy Winehouse" and "Sonic Youth" with a 120 minutes moment from "Timbuk 3".

And If you are wondering if it have a URL:
well here is is
you can find the video post at
thesoundcrashdetroit.blogspot.com

I put a link to it on the right of the Menu.

Still hung over from SXSW coverage

well there will be some more tomorrow on "The tonight show with Jay Leno" Flaming Lips Front man Wayne Coyne will played man on the street reported to all the going on at last week SXSW, this will be good, mean Whield in a interview with EW.com Wayne also revield a stage play on the 2003 album "Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots" and he have his sight headed for Broadway.

What the story will be about, what Wayne told EW.com "There's the real world and then there's this fantastical world. This girl, the Yoshimi character, is dying of something. And these two guys are battling to come visit her in the hospital. And as one of the boyfriends envisions trying to save the girl, he enters this other dimension where Yoshimi is this Japanese warrior and the pink robots are an incarnation of her disease. It's almost like the disease has to win in order for her soul to survive. Or something like that."

Aaron Sorkin from "West Wing" have been ask to pen the script.

i know it a little mainstream but Starbucks Corp.'s have announced that it from it own record label, they have from a partnership with Concord Music Group to launch the Hear Music label and one of there 1st artist that will sell there CD will be Sir Mecca[AKA Paul McCartney}

Today is Monday, March 19th

On friday i reported as Breaking news that the white stripes have book dates for the it world tour and it will start in vancouver and end in detroit on October 2nd at the Madsonic temple Theaher in surrport of "Icky Thump" but this morning the stripes Management Issueds a qucik reaction say that the dates are total in correct and it blame the NME

Here the Statment:

With unbridled enthusiasm for the June release of Icky Thump, the NME.com has printed a North American tour routing that holds no semblance of reality. Indeed, it looks like their journalists simply found and printed the tour routing the band did in support of their 2005 release, Get Behind Me Satan.

In fact, The White Stripes have yet to confirm their North American routing as of yet. But we are happy to say that it will include all 10 provinces and 3 territories of Canada, as well as the remaining 16 states of the United States the band have yet to play. A few major markets that have been journeyed to in the past will be also be included.

The North American tour will start in the state of Tennessee.

Best Regards,
The White Stripes’ Management

COME IN FROM THE COLD – THE RETURN OF JONI MITCHELL
Tuesdays from 20 March 5:33 PM
Few artists have truly invented a musical genre, but Joni Mitchell is the original singer-songwriter and one of the most influential artists of the rock era. While successive generations of copycats have hoped to win favourable comparison, none have matched the grace and guile Mitchell has bestowed on a distinguished body of work, both in her recordings, as a performer and multi-media artist in photography, art and beyond.

These two programmes are illustrated with famous and less widely-known Mitchell recordings and with the exclusive first play of material from her new album ‘Shine,’ expected to be released in early summer.
