It Came From The Late Night Music Club From Culture City

Tonight Entry was suppot to be from a man who just 80 yesterday, Tony Bennett who share the Same birthday as the editor of this blog sight(Just turn 33 myself yesterday), But i will put it off untill late Night Saturday.

This Morning it was made public that Arthur Lee, legendary frontman for the influential psych-rock band Love, has died. He was 61 years old.

Lee was suffering from acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Several recent benefit concerts, including one at New York City's Beacon Theater featuring Robert Plant, Yo La Tengo, and Ryan Adams, among others, raised money to help pay Lee's medical expenses. Lee's manager, Mark Linn, sent out the following email just minutes ago:

"Arthur Lee died peacefully at Methodist Hospital in Memphis, a little after four in the afternoon Aug 3, 2006 with his wife Diane by his side. His death comes as a shock to me because Arthur had the uncanny ability to bounce back from everything, and leukemia was no exception. He was confident that he would be back on stage by the fall.

"When I visited with him recently, he was visibly moved by the stories and pictures from the NYC benefit concert. He was truly grateful for the outpouring of love from friends and fans all over the world since news of his illness became public. We watched the DVD of the great House of Blues concert from '03, and he told me how much he appreciated [backing band] Baby Lemonade's dedication to his music.

"Arthur always lived in the moment, and said what he thought when he thought it. I'll miss his phone calls, and his long voice messages, but most of all I'll miss Arthur playing Arthur's music."

So will we.

Lee formed Love in Los Angeles in 1965 and recorded three albums with the group's original lineup, including 1968's psychedelic classic "Forever Changes," frequently voted one of the greatest albums of all time.

But the group disbanded soon after "Forever Changes" and Lee struggled to find success as a solo artist. He formed several subsequent lineups of Love over the years but never quite recaptured the magic of his early recordings, when the band was the leading light of a Los Angeles scene that included the Byrds, Buffalo Springfield and the Doors.

However, Love's early material proved perennially influential, with acts from Led Zeppelin to Echo and the Bunnymen citing Lee as an inspiration.

Lee is survived by his wife, Diane

He fakes a pass! He goes for the shot! Goal! Let's hear that victory music! Wait, is that "Brand New Colony" by the Postal Service?

2K Sports has announced that of the 18 songs on NHL 2K7's soundtrack, most will be by Sub Pop artists. After all, body checks produce the same bloody noses, be they at hockey games or rowdy concerts.

"While Sub Pop and hockey are rarely mentioned in the same breath, the vibe of our music really suits the action of NHL 2K7," said Sub Pop publicity/marketing director Steve Manning in a press release. "Because 2K Sports values authenticity in its games with the same passion we treasure authenticity in our artists, we knew this partnership would resonate with fans of both the sport and our music."

NHL 2K7 and its indie soundtrack are coming to Xbox in September (a specific date has not yet been announced) and will be available for the PlayStation just in time to stuff hipster couch potatoes' stockings.

Much like John Peel himself, the Delgados are gone but not forgotten. And the members of the band are not forgetting their erstwhile fans, either, which is why they've assembled The Complete BBC Peel Sessions for an August 8 release on Transdreamer in America. (It came out on June 12 on Chemikal Underground in the UK.)

Exactly what it claims to be, The Complete BBC Peel Sessions collects every Peel Session track from the group's debut on the show in 1996 through to their last appearance in 2004 on a two-disc, 29-song set that includes covers of ELO's "Mr. Blue Sky" and the Dead Kennedys' "California Über Alles" (back to back!). According to a press release, "extensive liner notes that deal with the background of the sessions, the recording of specific tracks, and the odd anecdotal aside" will also be included. Check the tracklist after the jump.

They formed a band, released an enormously great debut record on two different labels, and played one of the most rousing sets at the Pitchfork Music Festival. And now with a tour and a split seven-inch with We Are Scientists, a new record in the works for an early 2007 release, and a new UK label, it's safe to say Art Brut are taking over the world at an astonishing clip.

In an interview at the festival on Saturday, Eddie Argos and guitarist Jasper Future revealed to Pitchfork that they have signed to Mute in the UK. The label has given them a deadline to have their second record "mastered and done by the middle of December," said Argos. "We don't think it's going to happen. But that's the plan." Both Argos and Future, however, were insistent that the album will be released early in 2007.

About the move, Future said, "We were just shopping and we're on so many different labels all over the world that it's like, ‘Oh we just signed to another label.' ‘Oh, great, that's nice.' And then you find out, ‘Oh, that is pretty good. That's amazing.'"

The band have "seven or eight" songs ready for the currently untitled album. Future said, "We've got the music done, and we're just waiting for Eddie to write the words. That takes a bit longer. Eddie's an artist. He needs time to think...We'll be, ‘Have you written the words?' And he'll say, ‘The best way for me to write is on this sofa with my eyes shut.'"

Argos responded, "One time, I was ‘writing' with my eyes shut, and I woke up and they had four new songs."

Among the songs on the record is "Direct Hit", which the band played in unfinished form at the festival. "That was really an unfinished song. We have Eddie bang out the lyrics on the spot," said Future. "It's hard now, though," said Argos. "We play bigger shows. So you can really embarrass yourself." "So we thought we'd embarrass ourselves at the Pitchfork Festival. No one's going to know about that," said Future.

"I have deadlines," said Argos. When asked what the deadline for "Direct Hit" was, he joked, "About forty minutes ago."

Their new album is not all Art Brut have been recording, though. NME.com recently announced that the band will release a split seven-inch single with We Are Scientists in time for their upcoming co-headlining tour of North America. The two bands will cover each other's songs on the single, with We Are Scientists reworking "Bang Bang Rock & Roll" and Art Brut taking on a nine-minute version of "The Great Escape".

In an interview with NME.com, We Are Scientists frontman Keith Murray said, "What happens during those extra six minutes of the song is anybody's guess...If Art Brut have done any harm to our precious little tune, I will slice them from nape to ‘nads." Yikes!

The late Harry Smith, renowned musicologist, filmmaker, and painter, will be soon receive the tribute treatment with a four-disc box set titled The Harry Smith Project: Anthology of American Folk Music Revisited, due October 24 on Shout! Factory.

The next Oasis project is an album of some of the best songs of their career, though the Manchester boys are saying it is not a greatest hits record. Stop The Clocks will be released November 20 and will include such classic singles as "Supersonic" and "Wonderwall," as well as newer singles like "The Importance Of Being Idle." B-sides have also been confirmed, including fan-favorite "Acquiesce" and "Half The World Away," known as the theme song to the British television show The Royale Family, as well as the song the Noel Gallagher has openly admitted to ripping off from Burt Bacharach. In a remarkable show of either guts or stupidity (always hard to tell with the Gallagher boys), the collection will not include "Live Forever," the breakthrough single from their first album, Definitely Maybe..

A man died Tuesday of injuries sustained during a Deftones performance on the Atlanta Stop of the Korn-headlined Family Values Tour.

Andy Richardson, 30, was reportedly beaten by two men on Sunday in the mosh pit at the Hi-Fi Buys Ampitheater. According to his friend, Edgar Arellano, Richardson asked two men to be cautious not to harm his pregnant girlfriend and a mentally challenged child who was there with him, Atlanta’s WSB-TV reported.

Arellano, who attended the concert with Richardson, said a fight broke out and that the men proceeded to beat Richardson.

Korn released the following statement:

“All the bands on THE FAMILY VALUES TOUR offer their sincerest condolences and prayers to the family of 30-year-old Andy Richardson. Richardson, who attended Sunday’s show at Atlanta’s Hi-Fi Buys Amphitheater, was beaten by two men at the concert and subsequently was taken to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday, August 1. The incident occurred during the Deftones set, before tour headliners KORN took the stage. KORN are appalled at the actions of these men and are imploring anyone who witnessed this senseless act or has any information about the attack to please immediately come forward by contacting local authorities.”

Richardson had been listed in critical condition after the alleged assault, according to WSB-TV.

Death From Above 1979, the brash, synth-loving duo from Toronto, Canada, has announced they are splitting up after six years together. "I'm sure by now most of you assume the band isn't happening anymore since there are no shows, no work on a new album, etc," bassist Jesse Keeler wrote on the band's official site. "Well, I wanted to let you know that your assumptions are correct. We decided to stop doing the band...Actually we decided that almost a year ago." Keeler went on to reveal that he and bandmate Sebastien Grainger "had grown apart to such an extent that the only real time we spoke was just before we would play and during interviews. We both changed so much that the people we were by the end of it, probably wouldn't have been friends if they were to meet for the first time again." DFA 1979's label hoped the pair would change their minds and asked them to "keep quiet about the decision at first," Keeler wrote. They waited until their debut, You're a Woman and I'm a Machine, went gold in Canada to make the announcement.

Keeler is currently working on his other project, MSTRKRFT, with producer, Al-P. They recently released The Looks. He is also lending his bass talent to Queens of the Stone Age's upcoming album.

Thom Yorke has demanded Tony Blair resign immediately over the British government's stance on the conflict raging inIsrael.

The Radiohead star has posted a statement on the band's official website calling for the British Prime Minister to quit, as Hezbollah and the Israeli army wage war in the Middle East.

Yorke insists: "I've had enough of this. Our government sitting on the fence with the U.S. while World War 3 appears to be breaking out in Lebanon and Northern Israel. We must throw Tony Blair out of office NOW. He does not represent the views of British people. He does not represent the views of his foreign office and officials. He does not even represent the views of those in his cabinet. He cares too much about his relationship with Bush and Murdoch. This man is not fit to be our Prime Minister."

But this happen

Thom Yorke's post on Radiohead's website, calling for the resignation of British Prime Minister Tony Blair (read more), has been removed from the site with no explanation and fans are wondering why. In the post, published earlier this week, Yorke said "I've had enough of this. Our government sitting on the fence with the U.S. while World War 3 appears to be breaking out in Lebanon and Northern Israel. We must throw Tony Blair out of office NOW. He does not represent the views of the British people." Some fans are calling the post's removal "creepy," while others suggest he should "watch his back."

Wednesday night it was the the Co-Headliners Sonic Youth
Tonight is the Main Band in this three band Mega Bill

The Flaming Lips

who on tour surrport there 11th Album "At War with the Mystics", The band have been around since 1983 but got notice as a strage-up rock band in 1992 with "Hit to Death in the Future Head" but got notice with the follow up a year later with Transmissions from the Satellite Heart. The album gained widespread airplay on college radio stations. “She Don’t Use Jelly” became a top ten Modern Rock hit and received frequent MTV airplay.

But they change there sound in as a experimental rock band, with ther debut of Zaireeka in 1997, a four-CD album which is intended to be heard by playing all four CDs in four separate CD players simultaneously. The music incorporated both traditional musical elements and "found" sounds (as in musique concrete), often heavily manipulated with recording studio electronics. As part of the development of this project (and occasionally as part of the subsequent tour), the band conducted a series of "boombox experiments", where an orchestra comprising up to 40 volunteers with modified "boombox"-type tape players was "conducted" - directed to vary the volume, speed or tone of the tape they were playing (all of which were made by the band) - by the band's lead member, Wayne Coyne.

in the years that folllow Waanye and Co. have follow up with album like The Soft Bulletin and the well recied Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots.

There stage show defie explanation feather on stage costeme aminmails, inflaable sun, a good miltiemeaid presentaiot, and dancing Stand,

If you want to see more on the flaming lips story you got to see the wonderful film out on DVD it "Fearless Freaks" The 2005 documentary, directed by Bradley Beesley traces the band from their roots as a local psychedelic punk band to an internationally renowned band that draws celebrities to its performances. Many of the interviews were filmed in the band's hometown of Oklahoma City, although Wayne Coyne is the only band member still living there. In addition to the development of the Lips' music and performance, another theme running through the movie is the effect that drugs have had on the band and their families. A notable scene in the film depicts Steven Drozd preparing to inject himself with heroin, and it is stated that paranoia over Drozd's addiction caused guitarist Ronald Jones to leave the band. Drugs have also affected the lives of members of both Drozd's and Coyne's families.

It a must see for any one who like the band.

Tonight Video is from there Current released At War with the Mystics.

Hottet then Hades

that was the underlines under the today hi temp in today Detroit Free Press as there was a very bad Heat wave in all of detroit i did not go out yesterday or today to avoid the heat the last two days i been downstair in the basement doing my blog and keeping up with the World Series of Poker with Live as is happend action From Las Vegas at this web sight:
http://games.aol.com/poker/2006-wsop-coverage/tournament-39

It got so bad with everybody using there AC the power when out in a 1/3 of the city on the east side of town i tank god live on the other side of town

so i did do the blog sight yesterday and the music Club and the New Music Tuesday that is all below the bottom and i did see VH1 classic as they play the video they play the first day on MTV now i did not see MTV to see if they are doing some for there 25 Birthday which i doubt it, and i did listen to the sirius special with the surving orginal MTV VJ, which was nice there was a story on Morning Edtion which you can here at npr.com on MTV 25 and a report back in 1983 on the music video revoltion and asking what ever became of the famlier mtv VJ, but i would go into anoder motor city Myserty outside the 313, which was not talk about on after seeing a old picther in today detroit Free Press Life section:

What ever became of one of the most popualr person on MTV

Part of that OK City show will mix with there gig at the Hollywood Bowl last week also according to Pitchfork, the band will upgrade the show with by unveiling a giant UFO that will descend upon the stage amid noises, flashing lights there is a posting on youtube testing the big UFO:

and also from billboard still on the Flaming Lips, the Lips have made a alternate version of "Free Radicals"(from there current CD "At War with the Mystics") to be included in the next Sims video game. It features Wayne singing the lyrics in the Sims language, how weird will that be.

New Music Tuesday

It was on this Day in 1981 that the most import new released of all new released was made as of Warner-Amex Satellite Entertainment Company, a joint venture of Warner Communications and American Express(yes the Creidt card company)launch a brand new Cable channel that play nothing but music video in high stereo sound it was called MTV, and it was a good idea at the time and now everbody who follow music are switching to you tube, because they dont want to follow what are going on Real World: Key West that what there showing in prime time tonight insted of marking the milestone which they did on this day 2001 when MTV turn 20 which is one hell of a part gig and part reunion, and part pop-culture spectacle.

Which can tell the spectacle in 1994 when Michael Jackson and Lisa Marie Presley made there infamous on air kiss at the MTV Video Music Awards a month after they announced on this day they got married three month ago in in a private ceremony in the Dominican Republic.

But hey this week in pop culture history is not full with MTV history on this day in 1971 "The Sonny and Cher Comedy Hour" is launched on CBS-TV with a short summer run followed by three seasons of "The Sonny and Cher Comedy Hour".

but on this day Jerome John Garcia was born on this day in 1942, but he would be later know to the world as Jerry Garcia of the Grateful Dead who died on on August 9, 1995 as it was cover by Futher MSNBC News host Alison Stewart who was working at the time at MTV NEWS.

hate the stuff push on TRL, hey why you go out to your indie record store for today new released from the only bands that matters in Culture City.

It Came From the Late Night Music Club From Culture City

Tonight entry in the club it a normal entry.

Today after three week bidding Fair well to the BBC Show "Top of the Pops"

I Play a Normal video

And Tonight entry is a new video from "The Raconteurs" and there new video "Hands", If the first video "Stead as she Goes"was a showcase for Jack White Girtar works Then "Hands" is a showcase Bearden Benson Songwriting.

The Video start with Jack and the Boys Breaking out of Jail and changing cloest and having a magic do a little tricks they find a hide out, It a "Whartom School For The Deaf Girls", yes it dear school for girls and they entertain the girls and set up the gig, Jack and the boys of the "The Raconteurs" will in town for a show this sunday at the Michigan Theater in Ann Arbor this Saturday but the show is long Sold Out.

But you can be entertain by this charming video

After the Worst slow week ever on this blog sight i am beging fresh on this blog sight but i will only doing three day this post, 8-1 post, and a short 8-4 post i do have the usual wednesday off and also this thursday off as well, It my Birthday this week so i will rest on thursday and wont do a blog.

was a uneventful weekend as always and it going to be a unevent week with temp up in the 90's with heat index up to 104° so i hoped you have somer good AC or a very well cool Basement room where i am doing my blog from.

The only good thing i forgot to do this weekend is to see Ghost City at the Belmont so i miss my chance to see Tait from E6 and his band but i thought i miss seeing Jasper who write his own web blog call WebVomit.org it a small indie rock blog base out of detorit as well.

The first time i have hear of WebVomit.org well in the first weeks of this blog sight a very nice girl name Stephanie for her Craft blog http://councilc.blogspot.com/ who say You're turning into the new motorcityrocks!(That is a live and local Music Blog) and Jasper shot her back by saying No he's not.

So i found his blog and his also cover local music from inside and out side the 313 and it a very good web sight because he cover all the same music i like as well, so I got to the belmont at about 1:10 PM or 1:15 PM and after i said hello to the Magicial bass player Lenna Metro and her BoyFriend (yes guys she have a boyfriend) so i saw stephen palmer and he interduce me to Jasper and after talking to him he is a very nice guy who is so passion about his music as me, we talk about the scene, who the best new bands in the post jack White era and the Muse show(which he told me was awsome live), and other thing he a very nice kid i hoped i bump into him more othen as he go to show and report on his blog sight

Jasper(who by the way is not his real name, but at his request told me not to used his real name, so i wont)told his is going to Lollapalooza in Chicago this week so i hope his will give a report from the scene this weekend.

And also tell you that the big problem when doing any blog sight if your at a gig or a event is if you can find some with a internet Connection, or i have been ask the question can you take your wireless laptop to you well that pose a risk as well becaues you do mot want to lose it or worse off get it ripped off, so us blogger have a visual memory of what happend a the gig of the Event or i used the old tool of reporter every where the Notebook which is very helpful and with tool like Camera and video editing you can upload report to youtube or google video, so it may take hours or weeks to do a report, but you read about it somewhat.

Now this week big show in all of the Tri-Country area is The Raconteurs first ever Show in the S.E. Michigan Area Since Jack White from the Group with Brendan Benson
and Jack Lawrence and Patrick Keeler of The Greenhornes and also playing the Keyboard on tour is Dean Fertita of The Waxwings, This will also be the first gig for Jack White since leaving Detorit for Nashville, TN (Which is now where he live now)and it was kind of a suprized when the band pick a Ann Arbor veneu for for there first ever gig insted a venue in Detroit.

Because it you been reading the detroit press Jack relationshipo with the whole detroit did not end well, hi-lighted by the suceess the Jack Other band the White Stripes and all the bad vibe from the many books about the rise fo the stripes incling "Fell in love with the band" by former Metro Times Music Writer and Radio Fever Chirs Handside,The Fight in the 313 with Von Bondies Front Man Jason Stollsteimer and The Recenly Royalty trial with Producer Jim Diamond(Which he recenly won back in June).

But his past problum did not matter because the show sold Out in recored time in less then two weeks, Now this old scholl guy would like to go the Show, but the gig in Ann Arbor, It look like all the good shows have been in Ann Arbor this year with bands like The Raconteurs, Tilly and the wall, Mates of State.

But so many people goes to gig in a college town anyway, so if you going to The Raconteurs show or any cool show in Ann Arbor for the First time Here Some driving Direction if you are going to ann arbor, Using
google Maps i type in the address Jack White last play in the SE Michigan area(Oct.2,2005) The Adress of the Masonic Temple Theatre at 500 Temple St just Northwest of Downtown Detroit, and typed the address of the Michigan Theater at 603 E Liberty St in Downtown Ann Arbor.

Now i know there will be big talk because there two freeways that goes from Downtown Detroit to Ann Arbor(I-94 and I-96) so google Maps gave reslult to Ann Arbor by using I-96 so i will used that.

(Note From Google: These directions are for planning purposes only. You may find that construction projects, traffic, or other events may cause road conditions to differ from the map results.)

the Jorney begin by going a 1/4 of a mile from west from Temple St
Then the trip take a short right to The Lodge Freeway (193 ft)
and Take the M-10 North ramp(1.2 mi)to
the I-94 West ramp to Chicago -(1.3 mi)
Then go for a short distance(0.1 mi)to the I-96 exit 213B to Bridge to Canada/Lansing
And then the long fun begin as you Take the I-96 West ramp to Lansing now that go for 18 miles so you will have alot of time to kill during that time like listen to The last White stripes CD "Get Behind Me Satan" or The Raconteurs CD "Broken Boys Soliders", but dont worried you will not find any wrong turn so you meet up with a dead end town with a wax museum i hoped they dont have a wax sculptures of Paige Edwards now that would be scary(this is a memtion of the 2005 remake the horried movie "House of Wax" which star the doing nothing Paris Hilton who played Paige Edwards).
now after the long drive from on 96 then you take M-14 West toward Ann Arbor/Toledo that will take you andeor 15 miles and in that time if you have a proable dvd play you can see a brun DVD copy of Mihcigan/Seaton Hall game that michigan won on Free Throws in 1989.
Once you pass the Domino Pizza HQ your almost there to Ann Arbor now the trip take you to the end.
Now you in Ann Arbor Continue on US-23 North for 2 miles
Then Take 1/2 miles to the M-14 exit 45 to Ann Arbor
Then Merge into M-14 West/US-23-BR South Which last a mile
Then a Short Drive (1/4 of a mile)from US-23-BR exit 3 to Downtown Ann Arbor
once there Go right for a Mile at N. Main St
Continue on S Main St and Turn left at E Liberty St
And you have arried at the Michigan Theater at 603 E Liberty St in Downtown Ann Arbor

Now i know this is the Route from I-96, But there are some other routes to ann arbor like using 94, if you know other route for Detroit to Ann Arbor please E-mail me at Culturecitynewstips@yahoo.com, and if you are going to the show pleased leave your reviews so i will posted on the blog sight.

And One More Note on The Raconteurs Were about a month to The 2006 MTV Video Music Awards on Aug. 31 and the Band Music will be will provide the show's "soundtrack" During the show, and speaking about the video music show on a channel that dont show music video anymore they gave out the nominateds for that show and after the belly flop of two years in a row in Miami, there back in New york City at Radio City Music Hall to see who got the non and the full list of the nominations after the local News bits.

gig News now and if Dave Chappelle willk get a good house for his 7:30 show hey why not book a 10:30 for the same night, Olympia Entertainment announced today that a second show has been added at 10:30 p.m. to see comedian Dave Chappelle at Detroit's Fox Theatre on Friday, August 18.

Tickets for the 10:30 PM show Friday, August 4 and ticket will be the same rpice as the 7:30 Show ($43, $53 and $63).

but if you like to rock we have some good news, a few weeks back it was announced the Norwgin band Serena Maneesh who will begin a US Fall tour on September 8th in NYC at Bowery Ballroom, and yes they will played Detroit, we know the date September 14th but we did not know where there playing, Now we do a posting on the magic stick web sight say there playing the stick on September 14th at the stick. cover on that day will be $8 and Film School will opend for them.

also playing the stick on November 22th the detroit cobras.

And Now with a month to go untill katie make here debut on the CBS Evening News, It now time to go out side the for the low fuff news and no it does not involed Mel Gibson begin arrested for D W IIIIIiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii........, or Lindsay Lohan party all night and begin late for a Movie shot puting the whole movie injepoard, it the stuff MTV will not cover, it all the indie News that is fit to pring on a blog sight, it news out side the 313.

And yes MTV Who will not memtion there 25 tommorrow meaning they care more of what happending on My Super Sweet 16 and the Real World: Key West in prime time tommorrow then memtion 25 years ago they play music video all the time and in 1984 did a awards show to hourns the music video announced the nominations for The 2006 MTV Video Music Awards and the two big winners with the most one of them i like The Red Hot Chili Peppers' "Dani California" and Shakira's "Hips Don't Lie" lead with seven Nons apeice Madonna received four nominations for "Hung Up,"video, newcomers Panic! At the Disco "I Write Sins Not Tragedies" also got for apeice and also geting four was Christina Aguilera, whose "Ain't No Other Man," from album "Back to Basics" which in mot even release yet.

the show will have the fore mention the Raconteurs, It will also have Justin Timberlake, the Killers, Beyonce, the Raconteurs, Panic! At the Disco, T.I. and Ludacris, I can smell boring all over and there not in Miami(Which last year Mtv show was at matbe because all the Hurricanes coming this ways)

And for the first time the viewers will cast the votes for ever catgory(Ouick can you say Ohio all over)

The Show will aired on Thursday Augest 31.

And Speaking of MTV turning 25 as the people who run MTV can remember Augest 1, 1981, the people at VH1 Classic remember realey well tomorrow The Classic Music Video Channel will re-air the First Day at Midnight.

And if you want more the Surving DJ of MTV first six years 1981 to 1986 which the last MTV DJ Exit stage right will talk about the early days of Mtv the hour Chat will aired on Sirius Radio Big 80's channel (ch.8)at 10:00 am ET reboardcast at 4 pm and 9 pm ET, Wednes morning at 3 am ET.

And By the way the Surving MTV VJ if you want to know Mark Goodman, Nina Blackwood, Alan Hunter and Martha Quinn who like everone who did not have MTV had a crush on Martha Quinn alright i was 8 years old at the time but she was cool and she would still Be welcome by the indie underground scene still today 25 years later.

Speaking of which if video kill the radio star and realled TV Kill MTV and video on the internet kill MTV in the US, then the dozen of music video channel and the internet in the UK killed top of the pops which aired it last ever show last night and the last show set a record by geting 4 millions viewers in the uk Three times as much what they were geting (just at a millions), but most reviews were disapoiting Co-host by the first host DJ Jimmy Savile it was mostly a clip show hilighting the show 42-years history as he was flank with alot of old co-host many of them you dont evn know.

The Last ever No.1 on top of the pops was Shakira's "Hips Don't Lie" ft. Wyclef.
After that Sir Jimmy deliver his classic line "Don't forget it's still number one, it's still Top of the Pops".

After that he was walking back stage with a sad look as he turn off the light for the last time for a show that was recorded last wednesday, But beleved of not the orginial plan was the last show to seen Live but Sir Jimmy could not do the programme on that date because he is Honorary Chieftain of the Lochaber Highland Games which was this weekend.

Now with other News that is Not MTV 25 or MTV VMA of TOTP releated
