also it was this day 30 years ago that David Bowie and Bing Crosby taped the classic "The Little Drummer Boy" for his Christmas special on TV, it was made more special because it was his last tv special before his pass away about a month later at the age of 74, makeing this odd Duet a real speacil one as it aired that x-mas that year.

And if the music instery want to blame some for the fall of the bussnessie, you dont have to blame web radio, you can blame David Bowie, yes the man who sing Little Drummer Boy with sir bing on this day in 1996 became the first recording artiest to released a song on the internet releasing "Telling Lies" on his Website (www.davidbowie.com) where you can heard the song from the web sight or downloaded to you computer, and the music world would nerve be the same.

"They've been on the road for two years," said their agent Matt Hickey "It's frustrating and it was a tough decision for them to make, but they decided they needed to get some rest, regroup and come back and do it right."

Breaking Culture and Gig News

White Stripes Pulled out of Austin City Limits
Kaiser Chiefs Detroit Gig Scrub

I am reading not only but two story on the net

both are gig related, one of the two is a Detroit gig related and one story is conceding the heath of one band member.

First, according to an Austin360.com report, The White Stripes have pulled out of this weekend Austin City Limits festival in Austin, Texas according to the report producer Charles Attal cited medical reasons for the cancellation, they did not say what kind pulling out.

UPDATE AT 10:20 P.M.: it now beging confrim thur pitchforkmedia.com thur the white strips websight that the entire US tour have been cancelled, according to the press statement on the white stripes wes site[i got mine from the e-mail list] that Drummer Meg White is suffering from acute anxiety and is unable to travel at this time.

Earily in the Day Jack and Meg Cancelled there Appernced at this weekend Austin City Limits Festival

The Closest gig to detroit was Chicago, IL at Aragon Ballroom on Oct. 6th and 7th.

Acute Anxiety is a a complex feeling of apprehension, fear, and worry often accompanied by pulmonary, cardiac, and other physical sensations. It is a common condition that can be a self-limited physiologic response to a stressor, or it can persist and result in debilitating emotions. When pathologic, it can exist as a primary disorder, or it can be associated with a medical illness or other primary psychiatric illnesses

and Second, According to the NME.com websight, the Kaiser Chiefs have pulled there North American Tour at the last minutes because according to the report they pull it becasuse they want to concentrate on recording new material for there next album.

drummer Nick Hodgson told the NME "We'd like to apologise to fans in America and Canada, especially those who have already bought tickets, but something had to give. We've been extremely busy all year and had no time to focus on the future, we plan to have new material out as soon as possible and we've wanted to record all summer.

"This needs to happen before our European & UK shows at the end of the year so we can play a few of our new songs live, we're keen to explore new ground, beyond the sound of our first two records, so we're headed back into the studio to begin that process."

That mean there Detroit gig at the Majestic Theater on September 25th is total cancelled, all ticket are refundable at where you got them.
