WOW, that is a lot
The Indie News Round up

today is Wednesday, the Weather was cold icky, and wet at the the same time

But My i can beltout the Beastly boys after a bad Day.

Today indie News round up begin with a message from the leader of the Candy Cane Childern:

Hello to all the Candy Cane Children in the land,

The White Stripes have Completed the recording and mixing of their Sixth Album. It is entitled:

"Icky Trump"

and is their first album to include a title track which curiously [and not ironically] have the same words in the it's Name. Though some residents of northern England might almost recognize the title, The Stripes stress they are spelling it wrong intentionally just for "kick" and "metaphors", and to avoid a Possible lawsuit from the estate of Billy Eckstine.

The record was recorded in Nashville at Blackbird Studio. And word around the sewing circle in that many of your favorite White Stripes type songs may not be your favorite[pronounced favaright] White Stries type songs for long.

Some Songs titles include:

"Catch Hell Blues,"
"Little Cream Soda,"
"Monkeys Have It Easy" [discarded]
"Rag And Bone,"
"Clicky Bump,"[retitle into something pleasant]
"Blue Orchid"[relocated to previous album]
and
"You Don't Know What Love Is (Just Do As You're Told)"

It was the longest time the delightful duo have ever spent in the studio, totaling almost three weeks. Jack and Meg were sald to have been looking like they were "into it almost". And even Meg herself was quated while leaving a local Nashville laundromat saying theat the record was, in her best estimate; "finished", "Musical in nature" and lastly, though slightly muffled, "good".

The Stripes will be released a statement soon Saying: "We are doing our best (whatever that is) to release the album as soon as corporately possible. And though we are tired, worn, weary, hungry, cold and left without an ounce of nutrition amongst ourselves, we are in the midst of planning performance type shows around the world."

Hummm it look like we may be ready our self for stripes Fever once aging few more notes to let you know this will be the First Stripes album not recorded in Detroit not only that this will also be the first album on Warner Bros. records after there old label V2 Records close up shop in January by the band old contract ran out before V2 shot down.

According to some sourced in may be prime for a Summer released, they will played Bonnaroo in Mid-June.

Here the Video

SMOKE BREAK
SHOW NO. 8
Orginally Posted on: Janurary 18, 2007
on
Metroitimes.com/blahg

the discription of the show is from the metrotimes Smoke Break Channel

Smith and Loftus try and figure out what Jesse Malin means for America. Smith also dismisses nearly 40 years of pop music and declares 1960s British baroque pop darkhorses Honeybus as the past and future heroes of pop songwriting. In response Loftus can only manage a cheap joke about street fights.
