I have not post a late night Video to wish you good Night in a wheld so as i typed this wheild i listen to tonight show of "Steve Lamacq In New Music We Trust" which took a week of two weeks ago for a live concert from a band that who released one of the best records of 2005 and is back when they released the follow up in the UK which is called Yours Truly, Angry Mob and released there 1st single called "Ruby"

P.L.U.G. Awards Spotlight
Well, Last week was the Indie music version of the grammy awards last week but unlike grammys, they are not called the Grammys, They called it the P.L.U.G. Awards and it was hand it out at New your City Irving Plaza and for all inacation it was quite a show with sets by Tokyo Police Club, Deerhoof, El-P,Silversun Pickups, and the PLUG Impact Horuree Stephen Malkmus who play with his new backing band the Jicks which feather Ex - Sleater-Kinney drummer Janet Weiss.
As you know i did about almost 14 Posts on the PLUG Awards, so it only fitting that i Spotlight the winner(with Video i find on you tube) of this year PLUG Awards;

there are a two peice duo from LA
And watch them play live on Leno and Conan
There are real good
and Oh yes they have a cute CHick
There are the Birds and the Bee
and the song is from self title Debut

it came from the late night music club from culture city with a Double Bill of Shiney Toys Guns and Pretty Girls Make Graves.
Well it Time for a double shot of the video club tonight, Tonight i have a video from a band who i saw live on saturday night at the stick and there really good live there are the LA indie rock band Shiny Toy Guns with a live version of on there Better track of there debut "We Are Pilots", it called "Don't Cry Out" and it From the Fearless music TV show out of New York City.
And the Second video it From the band "Pretty Girls Make Graves" if you have not heard annouced there spiting up after there farewell tour in May, the video show tonight will be From the 2003 album, 'The New Romance' "This Is Our Emergency"

This weekend on TV station all over the country and on BET, air the UNCF An Evening of Stars® which stared way back in 1980 by soul singer Lou Rawls, the then telethon which benefits the United Negro College Fund have raise over $200 million since the event start in the 80's to college tuition money for black students and general scholarship funds for 39 historically black colleges and universities.
this year special was a lot difference because it was the First year with out Lou Rawls who die last year after having been diagnosed with cancer in September of 2oo5 after what turn out to be his Last TV performance at a UNCF TV special, When they honor Stevie Wonder, he did two song You Are the Sunshine of My Life," ode to Frank Sinatra with, "It Was A Very Good Year."
Tonight in the video club a video by Low Rawls, and This year UNCF honoree is Detroit own Aretha Franklin

SPECIAL NOTE: This is the editor of the blog sight, I am typing this to let you know that i did not do a lot of blogging today because it cold, the last few days it going to get a lot colder near the end of the week.
Now just to let you know i do this blog from the basement of my parent house and as you know some about basement, when it cold outside it even more colder in the basement, and my dad is worried about me spending so much time doing a blog in the basement, so there will be time when this temp get really cold (like the folk at Local 4 prediction this week, morning low on Thursday at 6, morning low on Friday at 8), Just for my safety i wont do the blog sight in the basement.

Tonight in the club, not one but two video from two bands from outside Detroit and still like by Detroit, First (with a thanks to picthfork media) The Pony's playing a live version of "Double Vision", Live from the Schubas in Chicago, Ill back on Jan. 12 at the Tomorrow Never Knows festival
The Third album (debut on Matador) called Turn Out the Lights out on March 20.
and as a added bonus for all you fans (from Stereogum.com) The Raconteurs doing a Who cover for a Itunes only released out on Feb 14 with a interdiction by a nice couple by the name of Pete and Rachel here is Jack, Berson, Pete, and Little jack doing the classic Who Tracks "The Seeker."

According to the report in the LA that Red Hot Chili Peppers, Bjork, the Arcade Fire, Interpol, Willie Nelson, the Roots, Sonic Youth, the Arctic Monkeys have been taped to played the Festival that will be held at the Empire Polo Fields in Indio, California, Just about 29 miles from Plam Springs, Calitfloa and about almost 2,277 miles From the entire Detroit Tri-Country Area, of you travel by car
The Festival will take place over not one, Not two, but three, Count them three Days on April 27, 28, and 29.

Late Friday, we learn that Denny Doherty 1/4 of the classic 60's pop group The Mamas & the Papas pass away at 66.
His sister Frances Arnold said the singer-songwriter died at his home in Mississauga, a city just west of Toronto, after a short illness. He had suffered kidney problems following surgery last month and had been put on dialysis.
Denny Doherty was part of the band that from with Cass Elliot and John and Michelle
Phillips form the first co-ed band that feather both male and female member in the same band.

We have hear his intention before only to be let down aging untill it forgotion aging, so as we wait for a new MBV album.

P.L.U.G. Awards spotlight
It been awhilde that i have mention the plug awards in the last few week because of x-mas, because of new year, because i am getting back into it.
It now time for the late night video club P.L.U.G. awards spotlight.
I know what you are asking what is the P.L.U.G awards?
well it like music big night but unlike the grammys awards which they have almost over 80 awards and just to fit everything in the Three hours time frame they cut it down to 15 awards hand it out and 12 bands played out on the live show, it almost a kissing up fest.
but the P.L.U.G awards is for indie music fans alike and the awards are hand it out by the fans like and me.
The P.L.U.G. Awards are vote on by the fans as choosen by the mistery P.L.U.G. Carteal

The P.L.U.G. Awards itself will be hand it out at Irving Plaza in NYC on Feb.10, the night before the grammys and it will be hosted by David Cross with live set by Deerhoof,Tokyo Police Club,Silversun Pickups,El-PStephen Malkmus w/ Janet Weiss (Ex-Sleater-Kinney) on drums.
Since the nominees was unveil in Novberm i been high lighting some of the best catigors with music video for each nomine bands, so far i look at Album Of The Year, New Artist Of The Year,Male Artist Of The Year,Female Artist Of The Year, Indie Rock Album Of The Year, Punk Album Of The Year,Avant Album Of The Year,Americana Album Of The Year,Electronic/Dance Album Of The Year and they have all been in the the General categories tonight the first categorie in the Obsessive section of the P.L.U.G. Awards.
