Indie News Round Up

Well It Monday and yes, The Wheather still suck
[Frezzing rain all Sunday morning]

Only the NASCAR to keep me company during Sunday
Along with Aussie Rules Foot ball on the web to keep me company durring the Cold weekend Nights [Round one of the Pre season cup this weekend].

And i have been doing a lack of a blog as of late becasue a lot of things that was not connetion to this blog, so i pick up the round up with one of my fave bands Arcade Fire, now as you know Next week they will released there Long awaited Follow up to Funral, Which is called the "Neon Bible" and as you know they have been on a Pre released tared lately playing five sold-out show each in London, Montreal[there hometown], and NYC.[Which the last Night was on NPR.com over the web at the Link below]

Well this week the montreal eight peacie was on Saturday Night Live on NBC and they was very amsome as they play two songs from there new album which is out on March 6th [a whole day before the Metroitimes Blowout], they played "Intervention" and a ver spriet "Keep the Car Running" which was fun to watch.

Now at the end of the show as they did the outro with the full cast all eight member rush back to the stage back in the stage now at first nobody at home try to make of this, but the blog told them that they play a short three song concert for the audience and cast members which inclued Seth Meyers, Amy Poeehler, Fred Armisen, Bill Hader, Andy SamBamberg.

Now that was something to see, The band will go on tour this spring but like every other band that have a new album it look like on there first go around north America the group is skiping detroit the closed you can see the arcade fire will be Toronto at Massie Hall on May 15th and 16th and Chicago at the Chicago Theatre on May 18 to the 20, Tickets for both show when on sale over the week end.

Now I know that the arcade Fire is not the First band that skip detroit on there first go around which lead me to belived where beging treat Like Middle america

Japer, The Web Votim guy have some insering thought about this subject [and you dont mind me repring on this blog:

They have a story that goes something like, “We were supposed to play the Magic Stick, but then something happened”. I’m not going to pretend I know anything about the inner workings of that place, but I’ve heard things. And nobody wants to bite the hand that feeds, which is why local musicians who’ve dealt with it refuse to go on record about it. It’s sad that an institution that is synonymous with the Detroit music scene can also take some of the blame for the “death” of that scene.

So the big Question that have every one asking when a band go on tour is the Gardar Rock of the early 90's have keeping many bands away.

Now Speaking about Keeping away just before the weekend the most love or hated indie news Site Pitchforkmedia.com reported Arthur Magazine have gone kaput citeding a disput over Finacing between the editor and the publisher, the maginzine have been publishing for Four and a Half Years meaning the last cover will be issued 25 with the lovely pretty picture Joanna Newsom AAAHHH!!!!
