Holland vs Serbia and Montenegro

This the second half of Group C match between Holland and Serbia and Montenegro, both team came into the world cup haveing very good qualifying runs it the quest to get to the the big stage with the Orange (Team Nickname) being one of seven teams from the European zone who remained unbeaten during qualifying and there Defense only gave up three goals, but the Serbia and Montenegro side are only better becuse they gave up one goals one goal in qualification, prior to that they maintained seven qualifying clean sheets in a row - a new record.

The first Half was kind of slow with a lot with a lot of takles and block shot but Holland Arjen Robben broke away form a fast break after geting a pass Robin Van Persie and get it past S&M goalkeeper Dragoslav Jevric to give the orange a 1-0 lead, as the first half was control by holland which contorl the ball 67% during the first half and striiker Robben being the star of the half with a goal four shot (two on goal)and shut down the power defence of Serbia and Montenegro(who will be separted contry in the 2010 World cup after Montenegro voted for indepentiac).

The organ shirts almost took a 2-0 lead when Wesley Sneijder put the ball into the box but Robben missed with an attempted overhead kick when unmarked ten yards out.

But that all theu nead as the holland striker Robben had a well played Game with 3 shot on goal on 6 shot as the organe get the three points in the group.

GROUP D
Iran vs Mexico

In one of the most insering matches in this tourny is Iran (who been in the news a lot lately) and world cup power Mexico who is always a faveor to goes pst the group stage to the KO stage, the Mexican did start there goalkeeper Oswaldo Sanchez who left mid week to attend his family after his father died last week, some in the team did not know if he would be back in time but he did

The 1st half start off slow with only one shot by Iran butt the Offence power show up with two chance by a header by Forward Vahid Hashemian but Sanchez keep it away, both side when up and down the pitch for the gam trading shot untill the the half-hour mark when the Pavel Pardo pass a free kick to Guillermo Franco who fire it off to Omar Brvao For a 1-0 lead, as the Mexican fans whent wild for that goal and they celabare in the stands.

But the lead was short live as Iran on a corner Kick by Mehdi Mahdavikia cause Ail Karimi to get sanchez off track and Yahya Golmohammadi qucik reflex kick it to the net to tied it up 1-1 a they go into the Half.

Both team started out scrappy in the second half with a lot of foul during the early part of the half and the play was dead but the iran almost got a deep cross from Adranik Teymourian but it was stop just in time by Sanchez before it cross the goal line.

That was the spark they need because in the 76th mintues Bravo strikes aging capiting on a Defence Mistake for Iran by his teammate Zinha pass it along to the striker to wake up the Mexico Crowd to put the Mexican ahead 2-1, the momentem was so great Zinha add his his goal on the side off a header to put it away and geting the three points to Mexico Name to win it 3-1.

And after the match in a show of team unity the whold team embrace Sanchez who been thur a very tought week, not only he show despie the sadness he show a play a good game, But he got help form the Man of the match Omar Bravo who have two goals in the match.

GROUP D
Angola v Portugal

And the third and final Match of the day is Angola and Portugal but from the look of this it may be a blow out as the No.7 soccer team (From FIFA) fack on the No.58 soccer team, but in there two other matchs both friendly they were blow out 11 to 1, This may be a ulgy on e for sure, but hay look what happend Trinidad and Tobago they were supput to lose by much but got the Draw vs sweden.

The Match almost got to a quick start as Striker Pauleta fired a shot right off the right 15 second into the match but it was wide, but he came back three mintues latter to socred of a Figo Lusi pass to take the 1-0 lead.

But the Angola did put the Defence on the Netherlands all game long and prevent form begin a blow out as Holland take the three Points.

This will be the big test for team USA if they have any plans to repeat there suprixe showing from Japan and Korea in 2002, Now if you are not a soccer fan and looking at this as a easy win your sadly Mistaken.

The Team from the Czech Republic are the No.2 team accroding to the FIFA World ranking (no.1 Brazil)it a big task for a team that that went to the quartfinal four years ago in Janpa/korea. This is a good one.
