• "Arthur and the Invisibles," an animated adventure about a boy who embarks on a quest to find treasure that can save his family. Rated PG.


• "Alpha Dog," Emile Hirsch is a drug dealer and Justin Timberlake is a member of his posse, and both get involved in a kidnapping. Rated R.


• "Curse of the Golden Flower," a Chinese costume drama about a Tang Dynasty empress (Gong Li) whose affair with a prince has major ramifications. Rated R.


• "Letters from Iwo Jima," Clint Eastwood tells the story of the Battle of Iwo Jima from the perspective of the Japanese soldiers sent to await the American invasion. Rated R.


• "Stomp the Yard," a story of a troubled young man (Columbus Short), who, after enrolling in college, puts his street dance skills to use in step competitions. Rated PG-13.


• "Candy," starring Heath Ledger as a heroin addict and Abbie Cornish as an art student who gets hooked after they become involved. Rated R.
