The Film Guide Top 10

Well this week in the box office was oh! so quite expect if you won a Golden Globes
or was nonaiti for a Golden Globes Awards, Movies that won or was nonatian for the awards got a big boost from the mention.

"Babel" which won best Dramas pictures got a big boost after ticket sales jumps 500 percent to finish no. 12 way out of the top 10.

"The Last King of Scotland" which feather Golden Globes winner Forest Whitaker(Winner for best actor in a drama for his portrayal of Ugandan dictator Idi Amin.) when from four screen to almost 500 screen and took home a box office take of $1.8 Million.

also seeing a jump was after the Globes was "The Queen" after winning two globes inclueing Helen Mirren who won best actress in a drama movie, it got a boost of 233% to crash in the top 10 into Number 9 this week.

But many of these film will get a further boost when the Academy Awards are announced on Tuesday at 8:30 AM.

also on the top 10 this week is the well recied fantasy film "Pan's Labyrinth" which started showing in Detroit at the main Art in Royal Oak and it got a big jump of 118% to land in the Top 10 in the No.7 spot with a take of $4.7 million.

Overall it was a very weak week in the Screen with the top 12 take down 20% from this time last year.

The Dance Drama "Stomp the Yard" ($13.3 million) hang on to the No.1 spot but barley as it edge out "Night at the Museum" ($13 million).

The Only other Film to opened all over was the horror movie "The Hitcher" it Finish in the top 5 at no.4 but it gross less than $9 Millions Buck.
