we look at a band from the Sheffield, England they follow the path for other bands from Sheffield like Human League,Heaven 17,ABC,the Thompson Twins,Def Leppard, Joe Cocker, and Pulp.
The Band is Called "The Long Blondes"
the band have been around since 2004 and have mix 60's pop, Buzzcocks, The Ramones, post-punk and New Wave, and not only that have added Stlye and Glamorm to the band lead by there Beautifully lead singers Kate Jackson[not to ber confuse with the other Kate Jackson from Charlie Angels} Last year she made the NME Cool list last year at No.3 a big Jump from 2005 when she was at No.39
Last year the band released there Debut CD "Someone to Drive You Home" which made the N.M.E. top 50 album of 2006, and they just released the album here in US with four extra Tracks.
The CD is produced by bassist of Pulp Steve Mackey and among the band influences, the one and only Burt Bacharach
The Other Member of the band are Dorian Cox[Lead guitar and keyboards]Reenie Hollis [Bass guitar and backing vocals], Emma Chaplin [Rhythm guitar, Keyboards and backing vocals],Screech Louder[Drums]
