Indie Music News Round up For August 9th

Today Big Indie News - Involved Lollapalooza, the headliners to wrap up Lollapalooza, and a webcast that Lollapalooza was on.

Pearl Jam censored on the Lollapalooza Webcast

it was first report on CMJ on-line and have been report everywhere, A portion of the live set from the headliner Pearl Jam at Lollapalooza in Chicago on Sunday, fans who where at Grant Park got to hear it live as it happens, But the ATT blueroom webcast did not hear the line.

It happened when the band played "Daughter" and when in a version of Pink Floyd's "Another Brick in the Wall" and for about 16 second the audio gave out after PJ lead man Eddie Vedder snag this line "George Bush: Leave this world alone!", and came back still playing.

The Words if you were wondering was
- "George Bush, leave this world alone."
- "George Bush find yourself another home."

in a statement on there web sight "What happened to us this weekend was a wake up call, and it's about something much bigger than the censorship of a rock band,"

ATT is spinning this by saying "The editing of the Pearl Jam performance on Sunday night was not intended, but rather a mistake by a webcast vendor and contrary to our policy"

The Band say it will post the full version on there web sight, but i raised the issued of net neutrality.

CMJ released the First bands playing the New Music Marathon

Austin City Limits List indie Line-up for season No.33

"Austin City Limits" the TV show that used to play a lot of Country but in the last five years have play more indie acts on the show have released a initial lineup of its 33rd season on PBS this fall, among the acts that will be filmed will include the likes of include the Arcade Fire, the Decemberists, Bloc Party, Wilco, Regina Spektor, Explosions in the Sky, Lucinda Williams, Crowded House, Norah Jones, Femi Kuti, Paolo Nutini, Ghostland Observatory, Old Crow Medicine Show,and John Mayer.

Now the PBS Station in Detroit
WTVS-TV[PBS-56, AKA Detroit Public Television} some time don't show it on 56, but it can be show on WTVS High Definition Channel on Channel 56.1 on your Digital TV
