Live Local Twitter - Dancing with the stars - Round 5

tonight is the half way mark of season seven of
Dancing with the stars

and this week the remaining eight dancing couple
it wild card night on the show where they will be four new dances
as they take on Hustle, Jitterbug, Salsa, or West Coast Swing

the big questions is Brooke Burke running away with this mirror ball trophy?

will Warren Sapp bounce back from a off step dance?

Maurice Greene get his mojo back after a band dance?

Is Toni Braxton snaking up there near the top?

Is Lance and Lacey getting back on Len Good Side?

Is the rest of the pact trying to catch up?

and was Cloris Leachman 22 a one dance wonder?

go to the Culture City Now Twitter site now for all the step by step

Just In from the Blog

Just got on the pitchfork website

and just post on there as well as many other blog site and music post as i post

Matt & Kim who warm the crowd at the "DETOUR" rock city festival this year at the Majestic Complex have just released there 1st video for there brand New album called "Grand" which will come out at the end of the year.

the video is called "Daylight" and it find the cute Brooklyn couple playing in tight spaced
and with a little stop motion and you have a really fun video.

Don't for get Matt & Kim is playing at the stick on Monday May 10th at the stick.

Culture City Danceing with the stars preview - Round Six

Before i begin with this week dancing preview
i know for those of you who read this blog, i know that
some of you i know you have told me that you can not watch
Dancing with the stars and that is pretty understandable

But since this my own blog and it won over fans from that
1st season back in the summer of 2005 and if you remember
my test post on my space message board i have on and off with
with following the show.

so begin with the series six season finale i put it on the Culture City News twitter page at
http://twitter.com/culturecitynews to free up the blog for other things so the only dancing with the stars related stuff will be this post on Monday preview post or any breaking.

as long as the show is on the air or the longer i do this blog
i will do live dancing twitter on the show, so that is that

also two other notes on the blog site

1 last week i join facebook on my own as a person
but i and hoping to do a separate Culture City Face book Page
but it is so confusing it driving me up the wall so if you can help me out
you can e-mail me on the right side of the menu.

also i am hoping to do a separate culture city twitter page at the start of the new year.

Now on to DWTS...

there is on eight dancer left on the ABC show

and thanks god the less musical and stiff dancer Rocco DiSpirito is gone, the judges could not stand his lack of beat and almost may look like master p look like a better dancer.

the big surprise last week was Cloris Leachman who score a 22 on Tango which a big plus for Cloris who have been really bad for the 1st four weeks.

the Lance and Lacey vs Judge Len is thawing out after last week Tango it was really good they was called back to dance aging on the result show.

but still the top two is still TV host Brooke Burke and Ex-Football player Warren Sapp despite Sapp slipping quite a bit last week.

so here is my ranking heading into week 5 the half-way point

1. Brooke Burke
2. Warren Sapp
3. Toni Braxton
4. Lance Bass
5. Maurice Greene
6. Susan Lucci
7. Cody Linley
8. Cloris Leachman

i begin twittering round 5 begin tonight from 8 to 9:30 PM
so see you then at

Joe Strummer's Last Recorded Concert

Mark Radcliffe presents an intimate portrait of Joe Strummer, one of the most iconic figures of the last 30 years.

Radcliffe was at Strummer’s last-recorded stage performance and he conducted possibly the last ever interview committed to tape, capturing a snapshot of Strummer's life just months before his untimely death.

This programme does not re-tell The Clash story, but instead presents the thoughts, words and music of a man who, 17 years after The Clash had disbanded, was as vibrant, creative and outspoken as ever.

Mark Radcliffe’s candid exchange with Strummer weaves around some of the tracks from Joe Strummer and The Mescaleros' 2002 set at the Cambridge Folk Festival.

Anecdotes and reminiscences come from Billy Bragg, band member Scott Shields and biographer David Quantick.

Thursday - Juliana Hatfield

Indie pop songstress Juliana Hatfield joins David Dye on the World Cafe to play songs from How To Walk Away. Since her days with cult faves, the Blake Babies, and throughout her solo career, what's set Hatfield apart is her unreserved, confessional songwriting. After twenty years, her brand remains compellingly self-analytical - not to mention joyfully hooky - but this record reveals a new maturity. Touching on this in her visit, she discusses her new autobiography titled, When I Grow Up, and acknowledges that she no longer views touring as the thrilling adventure she once did. In the second hour of the show, roots jam-band Railroad Earth drops by for a few tunes off their latest work, Amen Corner.
