Today Indie News
Now it time For all the Indie News That matters
and as always have not do this in a wield
and if you Like a mild Rock N Roll fude with a non musician we have a fude for you, a few week ago our Fave Pacific Northwest rock band The Decemberists have got the Iroer of all people Comedy Central Stephen Colbert.
A few week ago the band team up with MTVU to ask fans to edit a green screen Back ground for a contest, well wend Colbert hear about this he Challenge them as this video point out.
but one days after he made that crazy joke Front Man Colin Meloy respond to cobert in a E-mail to pictch Fork (On-line Music Mag) he said "Mr. Colbert, assuming that we watch his show [OK, we do], went on to suggest that we had stolen his idea, calling us 'a bunch of coat tail riding jerks!' Who's riding on whose coat tails, sir?" the band wrote. "We already played out the light saber thing months earlier, live and on stage--sans animation, stunt double and fancy green screen--with pure rock, sweat and C batteries."
"We are asking our fans to help us win this epic battle," the band wrote. "That's right, we want you to help us defeat Stephen Colbert in our video! Show us how you would 'Mulch' him, take him down to the banks of the Ohio, put a cap in his Dockers. Send them to us here."
Oh By the Way it get a lot worst he also Challenge the spoofing Talking Head to a duel to the Death with a guitar Ax "Furthermore, we'd like to announce the very first 'Decemberists vs Stephen Colbert Guitar Solo Challenge'. Put down the pen, Colbert, and pick up the axe! Let's see what kind of a man you really are-- let's SHRED. Let truth and good music prevail!!!"
now the big question is will he respond tonight at 11:30 PM EST (12/4)
From funny rocks Feuds to real feuds, i don't know if Axle listen to any music at all considering he still stuck in the 90's But axel went on a taer about a week ago in Cleveland, OH after Rock band Eagles of Death Metal was fired from there headlining spot after fail to win over the Crowd so what wrost than having a bad gig then being Fired on the spot on stage during a break in his gig Axl Rose came out to perform, he asked the crowd if they enjoyed "the Pigeons of S&!$ Metal," and announced that the show would be their last with Guns N' Roses.
Well the band released a sort sarcastic Hiko saying "At first the audience refused to welcome us to the jungle, but by the time we took our final bow, it had become paradise city. Although Axl tried to November rain on our parade, no sweet child o' mine can derail the EODM night train. We say live and let die."
Well Lead singer Jesse Hughes told Rolling Stone that there was aggravation between Axl Rose and Tommy Stinson (the bassist of GN'R) which led to the sacking of Stinson from the lineup. Later they also claimed that Rose had invited the band back for the rest of their scheduled dates as support act.
you know if play with Axle, He will Treat you like the Loser in the back row.
In Coming Attraction of any bands coming at you
if you saw the video club last week(and it still up by the way)that have been spreading like wildfire is the very cute and Adorable Brooklyn Boyfriend/Girlfriend duo (you mean she taking) Matt & Kim with Matt on Lead vocals and key board and Kim playing with her Drums, I have describe them as Mates of States on Low-Fi there going on a tour with Jumping Party Rock.

The Local News Round-up out of the weekend
Well it was the weekend and it was a very scerwing weekend, the lions lose aging (To New England 28-21) that no surprise as the real screw job was in as the hoping of a Michigan-Ohio State rematch of there epic match up two weeks ago (Nov.17) will be just a pipe dream.
The Final BCS standing have Florida Leap Frog Michigan (who did not play because season done) to clam the No.2 spot and with that will get the title match with Ohio State on Jan.8 in Arizona, that felling Michigan fans all steam up and prove that with all the changes during the last BCS Mess with the extra game away from the big Four Bowl Game (Rose, festal,Orange, and Sugar bowl) The BCS is still a mess and earn the the nickname the BC"BS".
Other than that it was a nice week last week with above avg. temp but the bad weather with rain all day on Friday whiel the rest the state was stuck with snow including a foot in Chicago, so just to say real lucky.
i did see troy and the stepsister on Friday as part of a DVD released of a Zombie Movie, But i did go see a rare live gig by the Henchmen at the Lager House they did two shows, i went to the late show after the show that i was going to go Forward Russia at the stick was cancelled (Lead Singers Tom loss his voice).
the show was a very good show with with the Capiot City(Late show, The Displays did the early show) and The Moldoons did a very good set (best i ever seen) and Old school Detroit Rock with The Henchmen which was very great to see because i don't see them that often because they don't play that offen in the Detroit area.

it came from the late night music club from culture city with ¡Forward, Russia!
I know i am so bumb about it last night it last night just as i was about to get out of the house i got the e-mail that all of detroit did not want to hear(i got them thur a SPIN.com contest) but many did not know when they got to the stick that the ¡Forward, Russia! show scheuled for last night at the stick was cancel.
In the E-mail i got from Nicole, A Marketing Director at there US Lable Mute that there lead singer tom voice gace out and was not able to prefrom the show so with that in the e-mail they apologizes to all citizens of the Motor City!! but they roll on with the tour with no rebook of the lost detroit date.
What a bummer i was looking fordward (Pardon the pun) seeing there 1st detroit show after listen to them on radio one so if you read this message the city would welcome you back with open arm.
in the mean time i dont know a few video from the band would make up for the loss of the show, but this will do.
