The Van that was stolen was white Chevy 15 passenger vandie
License plate Number: 4yrr578

Fender Hello Kitty Guitars (pink,Black, ANd Bats Maru bass- JCM 800(bleach stain on front)
4x12,-Marshall Plexi, fender blonde 2x12 cabinet (beat up)
TONS of pedals
Toshas drum kit (green)

there have been a crime but this time it not a gear but a bus
and it involved a band i like with a local Connection

today i got a post from our friend Nick [who used to be in Back in Spade a few years ago] and is now touring the country with "the kills" [who released midnight boom this year.] well i got a post on the myspace message board that was first a Stolen gear alter.

So i contact Nick via my space and i got a update to put the follow post:

The Kills tour bus has been stolen!

Our bus and the drive​r have been missi​ng for 3 days now. Last seen at LAX[Los Angeles Airport] heade​d to Austi​n Texas​.[they play Austin City Limits Festival this Weekend]

The license plate reads 0305 EA and the plate is from Tennessee.

The band and and crew flew in to Austin Texas,​ the bus was suppo​sed to meet us at 9:00 AM 9/​28/​08.​ Still​ no word from the drive​r and no sign of the bus. Lucki​ly our gear is on the Raconteurs semi truck.

The bus description is: black​ with grey strip​es prevo​st with a big "Z" on the back,​ plate​ numbe​r 0305 EA Tenne​ssee.​ It has a "Z" for Ziggy's Customs bus company. That is also on the side in 5" letters.

The drive​rs name is Brian​ Berke​nkemp​er.

Stolen Band Gear Alter

Sorry, if i have not posted this in the last couple of days because i have been doing a lot of catch up work on the blog sight and a few gig i have been to over the last few days which include two great gig in the last four days [The Go! Team - 8/02 and Tilly and the Wall - 8/05]

but i have to post this really heartbreaking Stolen Band Gear Alter and this invould one of our own, on Monday Morning at between 6:30 AM and 7:30 AM a van belonging to our own Iggy Pop & The Stooges was stolen outside Embassy Suite Hotel in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

they have play a festival the day before and they was on a three day tour in Canada when the gear was stolen, they play the Next night with rented equipment, but there was a break on Wednesday when it was reported in the Detroit News that the van was found just a short distant where it was stolen but the bad new that all the gear was taken out of the van the only thing was left was few microphone stands, meaning the van was empty.

there road manager Eric Fischer told the paper there moving on saing "We just went out and bought a whole bunch of new gear","The show will go on."

the only real item that was missing was a 1963 Gibson bass guitar belonging to Stooges bassist Mike Watt

Inside the Pelican case there is also a Ferrari pencil case containing an iPod, iPod accessories, various small cables and adaptors, a Leatherman Charge, a Stooges AAA tour laminate, some pain killers, some sharpies, some electrical tape, some business cards (Mr Rik Hart). This post is to alter the blogasphere about some indie band who have there playing Gear rip-off by some heart-less loser.

So, the story is, last night we played in Tucson at solar culture. afterward, we loaded our stuff up, went downtown, had a drink, and went to a house to crash on the floor. en route, we damaged a door, making it such that the door won't close and such that eventually, before we return the vehicle to the rental company, we'll have to pay on the order of 2 grand to replace the door.

seeing as how we had an unsecured vehicle, ray (castanets) slept in the van. sometime during the night, some brave fuck(s) very quietly opened the back door and took what they could carry. we assume their were more than one of them given all the shit they managed to walk away with. we're gathering what serial numbers we can, but in the meantime, here's a rudimentary list:

A member of the band "Canada" had there car stolen at the parking lot of Universal Mall in Warren, But in the trunk was some gear for the band Canada and it come on a bad time because there weeks aways from going on tour in support for there new album which begin tonight at small in hamtramck and will continued in East Lansing on sunday and will last two months.

So there asking any local musicians to broww the folling gear below and they will promiss to bring in back after the tour.

but as for the car, it a grayish Dodge Stratus with the michigan licence plate
