We Have A Winner In the Mercury Music Prize is
And the winner of the 2006 Mercury Music Prize is Arctic Monkeys for there Smash Debut "Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not"
It caped off a Fantaic year for the Band From Sheffield which became the fastest selling debut album in the UK since records began, selling over 360,000 copies in its first week and has since gone triple platinum in the UK.
The album includes both tracks from the band's original EP, Five Minutes with Arctic Monkeys, as well as their first two singles and UK Number Ones, "I Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor" and "When the Sun Goes Down".
