Today Indie news on the edge

Back from getting the NME today i am typing at 11:45 PM so let me get the indie and Local out of the way.

By the way since i was bloging about victory at sea in a blue wave on tuesday night was the big
Decemberists show at Clught Cargo on Tuesday, if you were at the show on Tuesday i will like to know please E-Mail the sight on the Right of the menu, i was told by one blog that the Washington DC show that was webcast on NPR.ORG back on Halloween was Incredible, unrelenting, and bombastic", That was the DC Show how was the Detroit (Pontiac) Show.

speaking of which from the indie music sight of record pitchforkmedia.com is reporting that the band from Portland, Oregan have record a new EP you can get on line olny (Yes it a digiyal EP) it have a live versions of "O! Valencia", "The Perfect Crime #2", and "The Crane Wife 1 & 2" from Crane Wife , as well as a cover of the country song "Please Daddy (Don't Get Drunk This Christmas)", done already by the like of Alan Jackson and John Denver.

But to get it you have to sine for Sony
Connect and pay about 4 bucks.

also in indie news

Tonight in Ann Arbor Asthmatic Kitty artist My Brightest Diamond who just released her Debut LP Bring Me the Workhorse will released on iTunes only on Dec.5th, a EP featuring four versions of the Workhorse track "Disappear": the original, an alternate recording, and remixes by Stakka and James McAlister. Also included will be the previously unreleased B-side "The Lace Handkerchief

She in Ann Arbor at East Quad Music Co-Op (University of Michigan)

Meanwhied Will released the follow up album in march with a little tour in Europe so that mean they will still be asking Daft Punk to play there House.

speaking to which The Flaming Lips who made rock n roll a total sicence since there begining in OK City, OK (better know as Oklahoma City, Oklahoma), and now the band as reported by NewsOK.com (the web sight runs by the newspaper the (OKC) Oklahoman and KWTV-TV (CBS -9 in OKC)) city leaders are planing to hourner the band (Who lead singer Wayne Coyne who still Live there) by naming a alley, yes you hear me correct a alley in OKC.

The alley which there not name like in any other america city incluing OKC will located in a section that runs between the Burlington Northern/Santa Fe railway tracks and Central Avenue
so why name the alley in hournd of the band to spur the city clean up effort.

and the bands have giving there Full Blessing the post say "Wayne wants this to happen and he sees it as a symbolic small road," the post reads. "The fact that it's an alley is even more appealing to him...like a secret passage. Though it may have dumpsters and parked cars, it's real and authentic...It isn't Disneyland [and] they don't want that...it's not an obvious homage to entertainment...it's about finding something special in an unexpected place."

as of this typing it going to the OK City Planning Council and will get the Final blessing November 28.

and if you miss the news this week my of my fave Underated band Rainer Maria have called a day Pitch Fork have the Full story

and did you hear that wanna be rapper K-Fed is now on the road to had Been statues.
