The Silent Years Sign to a Indie
New Records Out August 26th

I got this wield editing this week "NEW MUSIC TUESDAY" and there is some good news to report that Detroit hottest indie band around "The Silent Years" have been sign to NYC indie label "Defend Music" who also announced that there follow up Album "The Globe" will be out on "NEW MUSIC TUESDAY" August 26th, but if you can't wait it will be released on itunes on August 12th.

also as a added Boune they will be giving away there self title debut for Free on the Defend Music site

The band have been getting a lot of press with there live indie show and have been on a roll with gig at Comerica Cityfest which gig was relocated to the garden bowl because of bad weather and on the local stage at the recent Vans Warped Tour at Comerica Park and will played a pre-lollapalzooa gig with Margot & The Nuclear So & So's next week at St. Andrew's Hall in Downtown.

Defend Music is a record label base out New York City and among there artist on the label are AM, Tina Dico, Dub Pistols, Kate Walsh.

I LOVE Tina Dico and AM. How did you hear about him? He's really hard to find anywhere online. They did a duet together of "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" from his new EP Side By Side. It's soooo beautiful. You should def check it out if you haven't yet.

It took me 2 hours to find anything on AM but I finally found his album Soul Variations. www.myspace.com/amsounds in case you want to check him out. LOVE HIM. Stepping Stone is a song that is so worth repeat.
