UPDATE: The Sleater-Kinney show and webcast in D.C
Rescheduled for tommorrow at 9 PM


I know a lot of you are so bum at last night cancellation of Tuesday's last concert of Sleater-Kinney at the 9:30 Club in Washington DC, But because of no audio at 10:00 on the button everbody was tinking so many people was tring to listen to it but shortly at 10:15 PM this post was posted on npr.com:

NPR.org, August 1, 2006 · In what was to be one of its final performances together, the rock trio Sleater-Kinney was scheduled to visit Washington, D.C. for a full concert, webcast live on NPR.org on August 1. However, an overheated transformer outside the club, and the risk it posed to those in attendance, forced the show's cancellation. well we have update info on what happend and a new date for the Sleater-Kinney gig and webcast on npr.org.

Accroing to pitchforkmedia.com on a post of what happend last night go some thing like this, A transformer located outside the club overheated and the Fire marshal abruptly odered the 9:30 Club power to shut off.

The cause may be because everone in the DC area was using a record number of power to run the A.C under Exterm Heat all over DC but also all over the Country in the east coast and the mid west includind the Detroit Tri-county area (Today temp was 94*F)

a concert-goer E-mail pitchforkmedia.com that 10 mintues before Sleater-Kinney was set to peform one of their last shows, a club employee appeared on stage to announce that the gig was Canncelled. He Mention Through the rising din of sighs, grunts, and boos that a reschedule date would be announced soon.

heat did cause problum with the opening band The Rogers Sisters the E-mailer noted The Drummer(Laura Rogers)was lost the use of her snard drum with only a few songs left in the band set.

Well a reschedule date have been announced, The Concert and webcast will aired on Tommorrow night at 9 PM live on npr.org

8-4 - Lollaplooza (there set will scheduled to be webcast on the ATt blue room)
